Democritus vs. Dalton

Democritus and Dalton are two scientists that studied atoms. However while Dalton studied and tested Democritus simply thought. Democritus was a philosopher in 430 BCE. He did not test things but simply thought about them and their theories. Dalton on the other hand tested his and Democritus's theories to prove or disprove them. Democritus thought two things about atoms. That they were uncuttable and the smallest particle of an element. Dalton agreed with the theory that atoms can't be divided. They were both wrong in this fact , but they both had other good ideas. ( Mainly Dalton.) Dalton was the first scientist to realize that atoms can not be created or destroyed, but they can be rearranged. Between the two men they were able to improve science and prove what is and isn't possible with the build of atoms.
